The OGCP-9000 is a remote control panel for openGear™ signal processing cards. It installs in standard equipment racks
and is 2 RU high. All communication with the openGear™ frame occurs over the Ethernet network, allowing fast interaction with
dozens of frames.
The OGCP-9000 allows quick access to hundreds of cards in a facility, and can monitor and adjust 8 parameters at one time.
There are two large format super-bright wide-angle LCDs that show sharp and clear text for the currently visible parameters.
Eight large knobs allow for smooth, fast, and accurate manipulation of the parameters. Operators can use the control panel to
manipulate on-air signals with confidence and precision.
Powerful and easy to use, a keypad on the left of the device allows quick access to any card in the facility, and there are
minimal submenus. A given card has only one level of submenus to access all of its functions. Submenus are accessed with
the keypad, making it lightning fast for a trained operator. The keypad is fully backlit so the control panel can be operated in
low light working areas.
The OGCP-9000 is also flexible. Station engineers can configure the panel to restrict availability of specific cards and
parameters for operation. Configuration is done through a password protected web interface. Configurations can be exported,
backed up, and reimported easily.
The OGCP-9000 is perfectly compatible with the openGear™ control software DashBoard. Any changes made with either
system are reflected on the other.
Sixteen general purpose input signals allow outside devices to control the currently displayed processing card. This enables
automatic router following on QC stations, or interfacing with simple button boxes for special applications. The panel can also
indicate the currently selected card on 16 general-purpose output signals.
The OGCP-9000 has two redundant AC power supply ports. The device consumes less than 20 watts of power. LCD screens
have an inactivity triggered screen saver that reduces the backlight power.
