The DA1706SV Distribution Amplifier is designed to allow the connection of one composite video source to as many as 6 composite video displays, such as monitors, TVs, and/or projectors.  At the same time, it allows the connection of a single S-Video source to as many as 6 compatible displays.

The DA1706SV allows the connection of both composite video and S-Video simultaneously.  The DA1706SV does not provide composite video to S-Video decoding or S-Video to composite video encoding.

The DA1706SV Distribution Amplifier is a state-of-the-art product with a video bandwidth of 350MHz, enabling it to remain transparent to the video signal passing through it.  Each output is individually bufferd so all 6 outputs can be driven equally without signal degradation and unused outputs do not require terminations.  The DA1706SV can pass NTSC, PAL, or SECAM video signals and the output is pre-compensated for up to 100ft (30m) of cable.  The DA1706SV can actually drive a signal up to 250ft (76m) or more when it is used with high-quality 75ohm coaxial cable.

Composite video signals use female BNC connectors for both input and outputs.  The S-Video signals utilize female 4-pin Mini DIN connectors for both inputs and outputs.  If necessary, the 4-pin mini Din connector may be adapted to 2 BNC connectors using an optional adapter cable.
